Text reminders from ShelfStep
ShelfStep can text you when a production step is due or a wholesale order is waiting. It is optional, it is off until you ask for it from your own phone, and one word stops it.
How to turn them on
Text JOIN to (260) 888-3235 from the mobile phone you want the reminders on.
ShelfStep texts back the terms, naming the workspace that wants to send them. Nothing else is sent unless you reply YES. If you never reply, you never hear from us again.
These reminders begin on September 30, 2026.
ShelfStep never texts you first
A workspace admin can save your mobile number on their Team page so the workspace knows how to reach you. Saving it sends nothing at all. Only the person holding the phone can start the reminders, by texting JOIN and then replying YES, and nobody can do it on your behalf.
If more than one workspace has saved your number, the reply names every one of them, and your YES turns on reminders only from the workspaces named in that message. A workspace that saves your number later gets nothing until you text JOIN again and see its name.
The whole exchange, word for word
Every message in the opt-in, exactly as it is sent. Nothing else reaches a phone that has not completed it.
What the admin sees inside ShelfStep, on the Team page, beside the number they saved:
“Ask Maria to text JOIN to (260) 888-3235 from this phone. ShelfStep replies with the terms; reminders start only if they reply YES, at most one a day when something is due, and STOP ends them any time.”
1. The person texts JOIN to (260) 888-3235, from their own phone.
2. ShelfStep replies with the terms, naming the workspace asking:
“ShelfStep: O-Cha Thai wants to send you recurring automated reminders about steps due and orders to accept, at most one a day. Reply YES to agree. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Privacy: shelfstep.com/privacy”
3. The person replies YES — the action that creates consent. Y, AGREE and ACCEPT also work. If they never reply, nothing further is ever sent.
4. ShelfStep confirms:
“Thanks — ShelfStep reminders are on. At most one a day, only when something is due. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP any time.”
5. A reminder then looks like this, at most once a day and only when something is due:
“ShelfStep (O-Cha Thai): 2 steps are due and 1 order to accept. shelfstep.com/dashboard Reply STOP to opt out.”
The reply, the exact wording shown, and the carrier’s message id are written to an append-only consent log, so what each person agreed to can be produced later.
What you get, and how often
Recurring reminders about production steps that are due and wholesale orders waiting to be accepted — at most one message a day, and only on a day when something is actually due. A typical one reads:
“ShelfStep (O-Cha Thai): 2 steps are due and 1 order to accept. shelfstep.com/dashboard Reply STOP to opt out.”
The name in brackets is your own workspace, so you can tell which team is reminding you.
What it costs
ShelfStep does not charge for reminders. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, as with any text.
How to stop, and how to get help
Reply STOP at any time. That ends the reminders immediately, from every workspace at once, and you never have to say why. START allows them again later; you would then text JOIN to turn reminders back on.
Reply HELP for help, or reach a person at hello@shelfstep.com or (260) 285-4984.
