Your cohort, one page
For a shared kitchen, an incubator, an extension office or a co-op that brings food makers along in a group. Each maker uses ShelfStep to get a product ready for wholesale. A program puts where every one of them stands on one page for you, with their agreement.
What you get
- A join codeOne code for your whole cohort. Read it out at orientation, or send it from ShelfStep by email. A maker’s workspace admin enters it and agrees, once, to what you will see. Nobody joins by clicking an email.
- Your requirements, ticked by each makerYou write the list: an insurance certificate, a food handler card, a registration, a lot-coded first batch. Each maker ticks them in their own workspace, and you see who has done which, and when.
- A catalog for a buyer dayOne public page, under your program’s name, with every product your members have chosen to publish. Each opens the maker’s own sell page. It collects what they already made public and adds nothing.
- A cohort report to printThe roster with each member’s counts and ticks, on paper, for a board meeting or a site visit.
- The outcomes a funder asks forWho has launched and who is stuck, and a report for the period you choose: makers served, launches started, first labels, first lots and first sales, month by month, with a CSV beside it.
- Your dates on every member’s calendarClass nights, kitchen slots, a buyer day, an application deadline. Add one and it is on every member’s ShelfStep calendar, and named on their dashboard the day before.
What you see, and what you never see
Each member’s workspace name. How many products, published listings, lots and deliveries they have. Which of your requirements they have ticked, and when. How many rules apply to them and how many questions are still open. How far their plan has got: the stage their furthest launch has reached and how many of its steps are done. The month of their first lot, their first fulfilled order and their last work in ShelfStep, and whether a plan has gone 30 days without a step finished.
A member’s formula, costs and prices, product names, contacts, buyers and suppliers, receipts, lot codes, documents, what an order was for or what it came to, feedback or messages. Never a day, only a month. A maker can leave at any time; from that day you see nothing new, and nothing of theirs is deleted.
How to start
Sign in, or make a workspace for your program. Then open Account, go to Programs and choose Set up your program: name it, say what kind it is, and you have a code to hand out.
Running a program is part of the Pro and Studio plans; see the plans.
