Accessibility
ShelfStep should work for every food maker and every buyer, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or high contrast. This page says what we build to, what has been checked, and how to tell us when something is in the way.
Standard
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers text contrast, keyboard access to every control, visible focus, labels on every form field, target sizes, and page structure a screen reader can follow.
What has been checked
The public pages — the landing page, pricing, sign-in, every public sell page and its inquiry form, and these legal pages — were audited with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 AA on September 11, 2026. Contrast of the interface colours was raised so body, caption and button text meet 4.5:1 on every background we use, the sample-request control on sell pages was rebuilt as a labelled checkbox with a 24-pixel target, and nothing interactive sits inside another interactive element. The signed-in workspace shares the same colours and components; a full pass of its pages is next.
Known limits
Printable records (labels, invoices, lot records, statements) are laid out for paper and use fixed sizes. AI-generated text is plain text and reads in order, but long outputs are not yet split with headings. Charts on the dashboard carry their values in text next to them.
Tell us
If any part of ShelfStep is hard to use with your setup, email marcoksoe@gmail.com with the page and what happened. A real person reads it, and fixing barriers is treated as a bug, not a feature request.
